Tako Glass: A quick recap, part 2

Welcome back to the Tako Glass Recap, part 2! We've got even more artists and drops to cover, with new stuff still arriving every week. This recap was initially supposed to be a single blog, but as we were going through the list of all the recent glass we've been adding to the shop, it was immediately obvious that we would need to break it up. Just like in part 1, we only have enough time to touch on each artist and drop, so if you see something you like and want to know more, stay tuned here for more in-depth content, or send us an email! We'd love to hear from you, and it will help us determine who and what we should dive into!

Just like last time, all the pipes and bongs pictured below are available at the time of posting!

Fiona Phoenix Fire

We recently received some new glass from Fiona Phoenix Fire. It wasn't a huge drop, but the pieces we got were absolutely phenomenal! These pipes are absolutely drenched in dichroic sparkle, and they light up in the natural sunlight. If you're looking to bring a little shine to your life, you cannot go wrong with Fiona Phoenix Fire!

We received our first drop from Brently Glass knowing it was going to be a treat, but we had no idea just how impressive these pieces were going to be. Spoons, Ladles and Sherlocks with intricate laticello, fume work, bright dichro and totally novel, but comfortable, form factors! What really got us though was the crazy section of solid dichro underneath a wig wag reversal on The Elder Scryglass Sherlock Pipe!

One of Tako's explicit goals at CHAMPS this year was to find quality American made bongs. 27 Unlimited met the bill, and we are proud to bring you a full line of their Cloudburst bongs. This lineup starts with simple function on all clear glass, and gradually adds more complex percs, recycler function, and color accents as you move up the product line. We love that there is something here for everyone, no matter what your style preferences or budget might be!

Our recent shipment from Jellyfish Glass included a bunch of color fade frit hand pipes(which are almost gone already) as well as some two tone stand-up Sherlock pipes. We also received a whole selection of rainbow colored dichro martini slides, as well as some triple marble dichro cobalt bowl slides. Frit fades and dichro glitter for everyone!

Molten Imagination is no stranger here at Tako Glass! Over 300 Molten Imagination pieces have passed through Tako HQ, but we're always excited to unbox a new shipment because you just never know what you'll see, but you can count on immaculate inside-out and fume work! This new batch is no exception, so keep your eye on those reversal and honeycomb caps!

Another new-to-us artist is Key Glass Co. (Not to be confused with Keys Glass, featured in Part 1!) who sent us a few different pieces in their first drop. We've got two tone coil spoons, as well as nicely tear drop shaped Sherlock pipes. Coils abound, because there was also a whole selection of coil chillums too! The highlight of the drop might just be the Honeycomb pipes though!

We covered our March Drop from Tiny Mike with an in-depth blog, so if you want to know more about Tiny Mike, and his style of glassblowing, we recommend checking out Tiny Mike's Old-School Inside-Out Glass! Tiny Mike's work is in high demand though, so we've already sent for, and received, another drop! Check out the latest Tiny Mike glass, and you might find the next piece for your personal collection!

(Editor's Note: I recently added a Tiny Mike Dichro Spoon to MY personal collection!)

We're excited to bring you some original Niko Cray glass! Niko has been featured in numerous cannabis culture magazines and publications recently, and has really made a name for himself with his Snake and Shark themed sculptural glass pipes and rigs! Tako and Beezy met up with Niko, and discussed what sort of pieces would be a good fit for Tako Glass.

To that end, we're pleased to announce that the two pieces in our first Niko Cray drop feature Tako's own color choices. (You might recognize the particular shades of purple and turquoise from our logo!) Tako's personal mission statement has been to accumulate the best hand pipes in America, which is also why both of these pieces are dry hand pipes. Niko tends to produce water pipes and rigs, so while not technically 'rare' this drop could certainly be seen as unique!

Thanks for taking a moment to read up about all the new glass we've brought in, as well as a quick introduction to some of the new vendors and artists we've been working with! This year has been a whirlwind so far, with lots of big things in the works. We're excited to be able to share these achievements with you, as we're dedicated to making Tako Glass the best possible source for pipes, bongs, and rigs, as well as all sorts of other cannabis accessories. We couldn't do what we do without you, and we do what we do for you!

Got an idea of a product, artist, or brand we should carry? Let us know!
